Developing Your Writing Craft

One of the greatest things about being a writer is the ability to develop your craft. No matter how many novels, short stories, poems, or articles you’ve written, there’s always room for improvement, and there are always new things to learn.

Writing in new genres or areas is a great way to push yourself and learn new things.

For instance, in conjunction with Writing East Midlands we’re teaching an Erotica writing class. What is Erotica? Is there a market for it? Come along and find out.

A particularly good way to push yourself is in the realm of truly tight writing, and the short story is a great a way to practice. In 2019, we’re leading a six week course on Short Story Writing and Publication, also with Writing East Midlands. This is a great opportunity to develop your craft and try a new style or two.

We’ll be running more workshops in the near future, because we really believe that helping writers continue to develop as artists is important. So watch this space and join us as we work toward becoming better writers!
