When a killer sets her sights on her target, is there any stopping her?

Award-winning journalist Madison Ford is taking a well-deserved break from covering foreign wars. That break is cut short when she receives a mysterious package, full of incriminating information on a human trafficking ring. When she’s asked to do an interview with an actress and humanitarian, it seems like a welcome distraction. Little does she know how distracting it will become.

Elodie Fontaine is in demand. She chooses the movies she wants to work on and the women she wants in her bed. Humanitarian work takes up the rest of her time. Love isn’t an option. When Madison walks into her life, she’s faced with a dilemma: pursue Madison and lose her heart, or avoid the risk and lose her chance at happiness.

When Madison’s life is in danger, will love pull them through? Or will it be too late?

Advance praise from Publishers Weekly: “Nyx’s debut is a grim but entertaining thriller that makes up for some truly grisly moments of violence with two well-realized heroines….But readers who can handle the gory content will find it well balanced by plenty of romance and copious amounts of sex, as well as a solid cast of supporting characters and some insightful handling of contemporary social issues.”

Strong in it’s intensity, plot development and character development

Madison Ford is an award winning journalist who has been asked to do an interview with Elodie Fontaine an actress and humanitarian, who is also a huge fan of Madison Ford!

Madison has received a package full of information on a human trafficking ring which also deals in much needed body parts, (hearts, kidneys, etc.)
This is a debut novel and was quite strong in it’s intensity, plot development and character development. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

The delicate mixture of passions was fascinating
    By Netgalley.com on Dec 1, 2016 09:12

…I was drawn in and captivated by the characters and the plot crafted by Nyx. The details, be them gruesome or passionate, were expertly depicted, allowing the reader an in-depth look into each character’s soul and actions. I was held in suspense on the island and was intrigued by the interworking of such a complex set of characters as Nat and Theresa. The romance between Elodie and Madison was sweet, emotional, and at times raw. The delicate mixture of passions was fascinating; there was a balance between the sexual passions and the angry/destructive passions that held my attention to the very end.

    From Publisher’s Weekly:
Nyx’s debut is a grim but entertaining thriller that makes up for some truly grisly moments of violence with two well-realized heroines. Elodie Fontaine is considered the sexist movie star in the world; she’s also a prominently out lesbian and a former Marine. After she gives an interview with Pulitzer-winning journalist Madison Ford about her interest in stopping human trafficking, the two women start to fall for each other. The initial hurdles—Elodie’s promiscuity and Madison’s emotional unavailability—are minor compared to the eventual threat from Therese, a crime boss who runs a huge illegal organ transplant ring and fears Madison will expose her operations. Multiple acts of torture and murder take Therese’s scenes into gruesome territory, and there are frequent, graphic descriptions of past incidents of abuse. But readers who can handle the gory content will find it well balanced by plenty of romance and copious amounts of sex, as well as a solid cast of supporting characters and some insightful handling of contemporary social issues.
