That it doesn’t matter who you love. That despite the setbacks and prejudice, we survived, we thrived and made a positive contribution to the richness of society.
That we never gave up. Inspite of the hateful vitriol and the rolling back of lgbtq+ rights, we survived. We stood (for the most part) as one, shoulder to shoulder, in pure defiance of those who say we shouldn’t exist, that we are less than.
That we worked together to protect and nurture everyone in our community. That we stood firm against intolerance and hate, both from without and within.
