Who Are We?

Global Wordsmiths is a social enterprise and CIC (community interest company) built around one core idea: everyone has a story to tell, and we believe in the power of words to change lives. We want to help people get those stories told.

There are several parts to what we do:

  • Global Wordsmiths is the writing and community arm of the business. We provide editing and design services and work with marginalized groups to publish their stories. We love working with aspiring authors to help them get their voices out into the world. Whether that means helping you self publish your work and get it onto the various platforms, or helping you polish that manuscript and then put together your submission packet…we’re here to help you make your writing dreams come true.
  • Global Words Press is our publishing arm, and this part of the business prints and disseminates the books we create through our community and school projects. The press is also responsible for helping launch and distribute self published authors who are looking for someone to take the reins on the marketing side of things.
  • We are part of the LGBTQ community, and we believe that diversity in publishing is a beautiful thing. We love working with queer authors as well as BIPOC and second language writers.

We engage with marginalized communities to help people get their stories out in the world, and we’re incredibly passionate about those projects. You can find those books here. We have more than a decade of experience in editing and writing, and we’re both published authors ourselves, with more than twelve novels and thirty short stories between us. We have a fantastic team of copy editors, illustrators, and proof readers who work with us on a contract basis as well.

How can we help you make your writing dreams come true?

We are fully inclusive. All women identified women are welcome, wherever it is you place yourself in the glorious spectrum of human expression. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is rainbow-6305262_1920-1024x579.jpg
