Our story began with a desire to tell stories. Then it became an all-out obsession.

Global Wordsmiths is a social enterprise and CIC (community interest company) built around one core idea: everyone has a story to tell, and we believe in the power of words to change lives. We want to help people get those stories told.

We engage with marginalized communities to help people get their stories out in the world, and we’re incredibly passionate about those projects. We have more than a decade of experience in editing and writing, and we’re both published authors ourselves, with more than twelve novels and thirty short stories between us. We have a fantastic team of copy editors, illustrators, and proof readers who work with us on a contract basis as well.

A little about us

We’re editors, writers, coaches, teachers, peanut butter enthusiasts, believers in unicorns, and above all, your cheerleaders.

There are lots of great people out there who want to work with you.

What do we offer that sets us apart?

Experience: we have nearly two decades of experience in the publishing industry, and between us we’ve published novels in various genres, both traditionally published as well as self-published. We also work with contractors who have been in the industry and who are trained in their fields. Too many people call themselves editors, when really all you’re getting from them is opinions.

Passion: we love what we do. We love seeing writers become published authors. We love helping you create the best book you can, and we love knowing your reasons for wanting to do so. We have personal relationships with our clients, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. You’re never just a number to us.

Professionalism: we are right beside you throughout this process. We know what it takes, and we’ll guide you through. We can see your dream, and we’ll do all we can to help you achieve it; we’ll never step on your voice or suggest something not in line with what you want. We work with you to set deadlines and we meet them. And when life gets in the way, we might give you a gentle nudge to keep going so that your dream doesn’t get waylaid, because we understand how hard it can be to stay on track.

If it has to do with words, we’ve got you covered.

Global Wordsmiths is the writing arm of the business. We provide all kinds of stuff authors need, from cover design and typesetting to development editing and courses. We also work with marginalized groups to publish their stories. We love working with aspiring authors to help them get their voices out into the world. Whether that means helping you self publish your work and get it onto the various platforms, or helping you polish that manuscript and then put together your submission packet…we’re here to help you make your writing dreams come true.

I cannot recommend Victoria highly enough. She’s not only extremely talented, she’s every writer’s very best friend. She takes great pains to steer you in the right direction without ever making you feel as if you don’t know what you’re doing. For anyone who seeks a firm but gentle hand, Victoria is one of the nicest and most personable editors a writer will ever work with.

Community Publishing

Global Words Press is our publishing arm, and this part of the business prints and disseminates the books we create through our community and school projects. The press is also responsible for helping launch and distribute self published authors who are looking for someone to take the reins on the marketing side of things.

As well as being extremely good at what they do, Victoria and Nicci are friendly, encouraging and very inclusive. I would recommend their services and events to anyone who wants to improve their writing.
